ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
During my time as Lead Visual Designer and Web Engineer at CenturyLink Cloud, I was responsible for elevating the company’s digital presence across its marketing website, product interface, and customer education platforms. My role required both creative design leadership and technical execution, blending visual design, web engineering, and multimedia production into a cohesive brand experience.
One of my primary responsibilities was designing and building new landing pages for CenturyLink Cloud’s website. Each project involved creating custom image assets, developing page layouts with HTML5, Sass, and Bootstrap, and deploying updates across both staging and production environments.
Alongside the website work, I contributed to CenturyLink Cloud’s pattern library by designing reusable UI elements for the product Control Panel. This effort was key to establishing consistency across the platform while also improving the overall user experience for customers navigating complex cloud services.
I also played a key role in email marketing, managing the design and coding of the company’s monthly newsletters. These campaigns reached thousands of subscribers and served as a vital touchpoint for product updates, announcements, and educational content.
To support developer adoption and customer education, I extended my design contributions into motion graphics and video production. I created animated bumpers and produced a series of how-to tutorials, which were published on CenturyLink Cloud’s YouTube channel. These tutorials provided clear, accessible walkthroughs of platform features, helping customers deploy and manage applications with confidence.
IMPACT
The results of this work were tangible across CenturyLink Cloud’s digital ecosystem. The redesigned landing pages provided a stronger first impression and supported successful product launches. The evolving pattern library reduced design and development inefficiencies while improving user experience. The monthly newsletters increased customer engagement and kept the subscriber base informed. And the how-to tutorials gave customers the tools to adopt the platform faster.
By combining visual design, front-end development, and multimedia production, I helped create a unified brand presence for CenturyLink Cloud that spanned marketing, product, and educational channels. It was a unique opportunity to leverage a broad skill set to make a measurable impact on both customer experience and business outcomes.
